At Go Car Credit, we help people get car finance when others may say no. Each year, we look at which cars our customers choose the most. This helps us understand what drivers with poor or limited credit are looking for in a used vehicle.
Below, we’ve listed the top 10 most-financed car makes from June 2024 to June 2025 — along with the most popular model for each make. We’ve also compared the results to our 2020–2021 data to show what’s changed.
According to the Finance and Leasing Association, the value of UK used-car finance rose by 3% in May 2025, even though the number of agreements fell by 2%.
How we worked this out
We counted the cars we helped finance, grouped them by make, and kept the ten makes that came up most often. For each make we treated every trim of the same model as one line (for example, “Astra SRi” and “Astra Elite” both count as Astra). The percentages below show how much each make adds to the Top 10 group on its own.
